摘要：巴金本人在谈自己的创作时，曾经使用过”早期“和”后期“的概念，早期应该是1929年到1941年，这一时期可以称作创作感情爆发期，后期应该是1942年到1949年，可以称作风格稳定期。巴金在早期的创作，数量众多，内容庞大，风格多变，主观色彩浓厚。到了后期，巴金创作的数量减少，热情有所收敛，创作风格由多样趋向统一，创作感情由浮躁转向沉静，开始描写日常生活的琐事，并从中寄托自己的人生理想，在表现与现实生活浑然一体的艺术境界中追求至善至美。
在巴金的创作生涯中，《家》和《寒夜》是其两部重要作品，这两部小说的写作前后相隔近十多年，从《家》到《寒夜》，作者整整十三年的阅历不仅帮助作者丰富了生活经历、加深了社会认识，更加锤炼了作品风格、提高了作品的深度和广度。从主题的直露到主题的潜隐，从萎靡的生命到充实的生命，从热情酣畅到沉郁哀婉的叙事风格，我们都可以清楚地看到巴金创作中叙事风格的演变。

In ba jin's writing career, "home" and "cold nights" is the two important works, the writing of the two novels before and after nearly 10 years, apart from "home" to "cold night", author of the whole experience not only helps the author twenty-three enriches life experience, deepen the social understanding, more the work style, improve temper the depth and extent of the works.
