Abstract:The paper analyzes the protagonist of Sister Carrie on the basis of psychoanalysis. The research comes in the order of psychoanalysis and the system of personality, the characterization and the setting, and the psychoanalytic analysis of Caroline Meeber. The aim is to find out the underlying nature of Caroline seeking material success.
