Abstract:A good product’s manual cannot only help consumers use the product correctly, but also increase their satisfaction with the products, and enhance the company’s image. This paper compared the English versions of the domestic and foreign famous-brand mobile phone manuals on the schematic structure aspect and realization pattern aspect to indicate the necessity of creative treason theory in the application of manuals translation. Furthermore, it explained the usage of seven ways of translation variation.
