Abstract

Jane Eyre is a remarkable literature masterpiece of the British in the 19th century, written by Charlotte Bronte. It has achieved tremendous success since it was published because the author successfully creates a feminine image, Jane Eyre, who dares to rebel and protest against the unjust world, and always pursues equality, independence, freedom and true love. The novel is also considered as Charlotte Bronte's autobiography to some extent. As a female critical realist, Charlotte Bronte aims to awaken the consciousness and courage of women to strive for equal rights and freedom. This kind of awareness has a big effect on society and helps the author gain a high reputation. And this essay will lay more emphasis on the formation and development of complicated characters of Jane Eyre, especially the inferiority complex hidden in her heart and its root.
