Abstract:Loanwords, is also known as foreign words, which is one of the main ways of lexical metabolism, refers to the words borrowed from one language from another English, as the most widely used language in the world, continuously absorbs languages from different countries, thus greatly expanding and developing its vocabulary, Chinese is one of them. The purpose of this paper is to explore the definition of Chinese loanwords in lexicology, the causes, forms and characteristics of Chinese loanwords in English, and to draw lessons from the current practice research and practice results. Let more English learner know the influence of Chinese on English and learn more about some language phenomena, enhancement of English vocabulary application and more effective communication.
