Abstract: With the development of economic globalization ，as a member of WTO , China gets more communication with other countries and more communication in business activities ，which puts higher request on business person’s intercultural communication competence . Therefore, to foster and cultivate the intercultural communication competence becomes the important content of business English teaching. But this is a huge challenge to the business English teaching in China .The traditional business English paid much attention to grammar and vocabulary, but overlooked the cultivation of intercultural communication competence under business background. The students’ learning outcome is inefficient .Therefore, how to strengthen the awareness of cross culture and cultivate the ability is a very urgent task. This thesis first elaborates the development of business English, as well as the importance of intercultural communication competence. Finally, the thesis presents how to cultivate the intercultural communication competence in business English teaching from four main aspects.

摘要 :中国与世界的联系越来越密切，与世界各国的商务活动也越来越频繁。这对参与国际商务交往人员的跨文化交际能力也提出了更高的要求，培养和提高跨文化交际能力成为商务英语教学的重要内容。但这对我国商务英语教学是一种巨大的挑战。传统的商务英语多注重语法词汇方面的学习，却忽视了商务背景下跨文化交际能力的培养。因此，如何增强跨文化意识，培养这种能力是十分紧迫的任务。本文首先阐述了商务英语的发展，以及跨文化交际能力的重要性，最后着重从四方面提出在商务英语教学中如何培养跨文化交际能力。
