英语意识流小说的汉译_英语论文.doc

中文摘要:本文旨在对中国改革开放以来,英语意识流小说在中国当代的接受情况作一回顾，同时对乔伊斯、伍尔夫和福克纳这三位意识流大师的英语作品在中国的译介情况进行一次较为全面的梳理和总结。

与注重客观描写或者直抒胸臆的传统小说不同，英语意识流小说有其独特的之处，如该类作品一贯强调文学艺术的暗示性、含蓄性和间接性，经常曲折地表现自己的思想感情，夸张地交错使用长短句，频繁地转换时间与空间顺序，极发散地进行自由联想，使用耐人寻味的标点符号与模棱两可的代词，人物的心理描写占较大篇幅。总的来说，其语言表达晦涩难懂，令人望而生畏。

本文从文学语篇形式对等、功能对等两个角度出发，同时兼顾文体风格可译性的局限性，试图归纳出目前英语意识流小说的汉译特点。在正确理解原文的基础上，对比同一原作的多个翻译版本，深入比较不同译作的翻译情况，客观地对译作进行点评，并批判性地指出其翻译的出彩与不足之处。当译者由于某种原因，误译原作或未能忠实表达原作精神时，尽量给出得体的翻译，以减少译作不足之处，还原作者本意。
