Abstract
With the development of the times, the exchange of Chinese and western culture has become increasingly frequent, resulting in the differences between Chinese and western music culture. Music is an important bridge between Chinese and western cultures. The development of Chinese and western culture is different from each other, which were caused by the process of history, the district, and different belief they hold. To understand the Chinese and western music culture is an important channel to promote world cultural exchanges. In order to better promote the exchange of Chinese and western music culture, to make readers to have a brief understand of the Chinese and western culture, this paper had made a profound analysis, summary and comparison between both sides, and then to make them have a deep knowledge that culture differences can not only reflected in education, economy and customs, it can also presented in the way of music.
