翻译所选部分，主要是作者对她丈夫突然离世时发生事情的一个记录，然而他们的朋友和家人始终都不相信这件事真的发生了，他们仍想象着马丁还在身边的日子.其中也有一些心理和对话的描写。
我所翻译的部分主要就是对全文做了一个简短的总结和交代了本书发生的背景,展示给读者一位乐观坚强的女性形象，给人以鼓励。
INTRODUCTION
The novel After You is written by Natascha McElhone who is a British actress. In this novel, the writer mainly talks about the black eighteen months after her husband’s sudden death. At that time, she worked in Los Angeles while her beloved husband died because of a heart attack at home alone. How a bolt from the blue to her and their children! Unable to accept the fact, she began to write letters to her husband to record these days without him how she walked out from the sadness step by step. In this process, from preface to page18 were chosen to be translated.
The selected translation part is mainly a record about what happened when Natascha’s husband's sudden death. However，their friends and family all didn't believe this was really happened and they still imagined that Martin was still on their side. There are also some psychological description and dialogue.
My part is mainly a short summary of the full text and the background of the book which shows the reader an optimistic woman, giving us with encouragement.
