Abstract: Based on the case analysis, this paper uses deduction, induction, comparison and other methods to explore the cultural factors affecting the international news translation and strategies and techniques of international news translation. This paper first discusses the characteristics of news translation and cultural factors affecting the news translation. The author considers that the most salient characteristic of new translation is swifter and timeliness. The cultural factors that affect the news translation mainly include: geographical environment, social customs, religious beliefs and historical culture. At the same time, this article discusses the origin of cultural differences from the perspective of cross-cultural communication and elaborates upon the importance of cultural factors in international news translation. On the basis of previous studies, this paper puts forwards some strategies of international news translation, and thus draws the conclusion that in international news translation, translators should focus on some skills of translation itself, and most importantly should take various cultural factors into consideration.
