Abstract

 

Most language teachers will agree that motivation of the students is one of the most important factors influencing their success or failure in language. There have been overwhelming researchers&literature on this area. The New English Curriculum” proposes the teaching goal of emotional attitude. To achieve this goal in the junior middle school English teaching, first is to arouse the students’ interest in learning English, to cultivate students good English learning motivation. The purpose of this thesis is to study the effect of motivation for students learning English through the survey of English learning motivation in junior high school students.

    There are two students who come from Hangzhou Greentown Yuhua Middle school as the research subjects. During three-month study, author used three instruments: questionnaire, diaries and class observation. In order to study the English learning motivation of middle school students, this thesis is expound from the following five aspects: Introduction, Literature Review, the Implement of the Research, Data collection and analysis of the research and Conclusion.
