Abstract:Attitudes determine everything, details determine success or failure. The author made this study for investigating the second year students’ attitudes toward English learning in Tonghai NO.9 Middle School. The data discussed in this paper were collected from questionnaire and interview. The results of the data provided evidence that different participants held different attitudes toward English learning during the process of English learning. The findings from questionnaire showed that over half of the students held positive attitudes toward English learning; others held moderate or negative attitudes. 

   Through investigating the students’ attitudes in English learning, instructors can understand the different learners’ states of English learning. This can also help the instructors strengthen instruction and management respectively toward different students’ English learning,construct nice learning atmosphere and create better learning environment for students and build a stable English foundation for raising the students’ whole level of English.

  Meanwhile, parents’ understanding, communication and education toward the children can help them study actively and efficiently.

摘要:态度决定一切,细节决定成败。笔者撰写本文旨在调查通海第九中学初二学生英语学习态度。该文应用了问卷调查、采访的方式来收集数据。从数据显示中可以看出,学生在英语学习过程中,分别持有不同的学习态度。通过问卷调查,发现一半以上的学生持有积极的学习态度;另外的学生对英语学习持有中立或消极的态度。

   通过调查学生对英语的学习态度,可以了解学生在英语学习过程中的基本情况,帮助老师进一步加强对不同学生的英语学习进行分别指导和管理,为学生营造良好的学习氛围和创造更好的学习环境,为提高学生英语整体水平打下坚实的基础。

   同时,家长对子女的理解、沟通和教育可以帮助孩子进行积极、有效的学习。
