ABSTRACT:Article is a kind of unique function words in English. The learning of articles occupies a large proportion in English learning, at the same time, it’s the most difficult part of the grammar for English learners. The main reason lies in the complex and varied usage of English Articles, as well as its frequent use. As it is a focus of the learning of English, the article system has great research value, especially for Chinese learners, in whose mother language the article system does not exist. 

The main types of article errors made in high school students’ compositions are the omission of articles, the confusion of article and the redundancy of articles. Most of the omission and redundancy of articles relate to the misuse of “the”Concerning the distribution characteristics, as for the types of errors, omission of articles is most, followed by the redundancy of articles; the confusion of articles is the least; As for the tested subjects, the accuracy rate of Grade One is 73.1%, for Grade Two, it is 86.5% and for Grade Three, 91.8%.

As for the error types, the omission of articles is mainly caused by intralingual factors, and the confusion of article and the redundancy of articles are mainly caused by interlingual factors; As for the subjects, the main reasons of the different data mentioned above are that in senior high school grammar explanation is not very thorough in the classroom teaching in the first year, and the students’ basic knowledge is not very strong; students in Grade Two are into contact with articles for a longer period and can use them more skillfully; students in Grade Three are preparing for the College Entrance Exam, which has a fairly high requirement for all kinds of English knowledge.

摘要:冠词是英语特有的一种虚词,冠词的学习在英语学习中占有很大的比例,同时也是英语学习者最难掌握的语法部分之一。其主要原因在于英语冠词的用法复杂、多变。冠词系统作为英语学习的一个重点,尤其是对于母语中不存在冠词系统的中国学生来说,更具研究价值。本文运用错误分析理论,选取周口中学高中三个年级学生的90篇英语作文为研究对象,发现其中主要的冠词错误类型、冠词错误的分布特点并分析其产生的原因;同时,对于三个年级作文中的冠词错误情况作了一个比较。本研究主要有以下发现: 

高中生英语作文中主要错误类型为冠词的缺失、冠词混用和冠词冗余;冠词缺失和冠词冗余错误集中在定冠词the的使用上。

分布特点:就错误类型而言,冠词缺失错误最多,冠词冗余错误次之,冠词混用错误情况较少;就受试人群冠词使用准确率而言,高一占73.1%,高二86.5%,高三91.8%;

产生原因:就错误类型而言,冠词缺失主要是由语内因素引起的,而冠词混用和冠词冗余主要是由语际因素引起的;就受试人群而言,冠词使用准确率分布出现上述数据的主要原因是高一课堂教学中语法知识讲解不是很深入,学生基础知识掌握不是很牢固,高二学生对英语接触时间相对较长,对冠词使用更加熟练,高三学生正在为高考做准备,对英语知识的各个方面要求都比较高。
