ABSTRACT

The reform and opening policy in nearly 40 years fastens our pace of globalization, we can see that China has been involved in all aspects of the world economy and culture exchange. As an internationally adopted language, English conveys various information around the world in form of news, and serves as an indispensable medium in intercultural communication. Due to the objective differences between English and Chinese, we can not translate News English accurately without specific translation methods. News English is a special register processing both the features of English as an language and news as a tool, therefore,excellent translation of News English should be realized on base of good knowledge of its characteristics and application of particular translation methods. This paper analyzes the features of News English in lexicon, syntax and grammar and propose corresponding methods strategies aiming at providing with several essential suggestions on News English translation.
