Abstract
Translation is not just to translate one language into another , but is a conversion between two one cultures In the process of translation, translators play an important role based on understanding the culture ofsource language and the characteristics of the target language in order to make the translated version smoother and more idiomatic. On most of occasions, the style of each translated text is different due to the knowledge background and living surroundings on which the interpreter depends so much as he/she will adopts the favored translating strategy to direct the practice. Taking Chinese version The Pride and Prejudice translated by Sun Zhili 孙致礼and Wang Keyi王科一 respectively as an example, this article discusses the analysis on differences in terms of translation strategies of the linguistic level and of the cultural level, in which the literal and free translation, alienation and domestication are detailed. We think that literal translation is more applied to the text of literature instead of word and word translation in transformation from English into Chinese.
