ABSTRACT：With the popularization and publication of sports events, sports are playing a more and more important role in our daily life and people are showing more and more interest in sports, which promotes and accelerates sports communication. This paper aims at studying the features of sports English and finding methods and techniques for sports English translation, which is beneficial to further communication and spreading of sports. First of all, special features of sports English--------features of vocabulary and sentence patterns ---------are analyzed. Then certain principles which should be followed in sport English translation are generalized on the basis of the language features. Finally, some typical methods and techniques for sports English translation are put forward. In translation, Translators should choose suitable expressions on the basis of fully understanding the original text so as to deliver sports information to the audience clearly and accurately. In order to do translation well, the translator needs to accumulate relevant knowledge of sports, cultural background and to practice constantly. It is hoped that the paper will be of help to those who are interested in sports English and those who are engaged in sports English translation.

摘要：随着各项体育赛事的推广和宣传，体育在人们生活中扮演着越来越重要的角色，人们对体育事业的热爱促使体育信息的交流也更加频繁。本文旨在通过对体育英语特点的研究，找到体育英语翻译上的方式与技巧，这对于体育事业的进一步交流和推广，以及人们更便捷地获取体育信息，有着相当重要的作用。本文首先从词汇和句子两方面对体育英语进行了简要的分析，其次，根据体育英语的语言特点和表达习惯概括介绍体育英语翻译时应遵循的原则；最后，分别从词汇，固定搭配，体育英语习惯表达，上下文分析，语言表达特色等方面找到体育英语翻译的方法与技巧，以促进译文更贴近原文，更符合体育英语表达习惯。译者应该在充分理解原文信息，准确把握体育概念，结合具体语境的基础上，选择更合适的表达方式，更清晰，更准确的向读者传达体育信息；同时应注重相关知识的积累，加强语言文化背景的深入了解，在不断的翻译实践中完善译文。
