Abstract: Tourism makes it necessary for people of different cultural backgrounds to communicate in an intercultural context. The understanding of an alien country and its culture has come to be part of touring purpose in the process of which, tourism-related texts may play an important role. However, in the translation of the tourism-related texts, untranslatability still exists. Many translators have tried varying means to tackle untranslatability in translation. This article gives a brief introduction to language features of tourism-related texts, illustrates the factors that may result in untranslatability in the translation, and then analyzes the untranslatability of tourism-related texts from language function perspective.

摘要： 旅游业使不同文化背景的人们进行跨文化交际变成一种需要。对异国及其文化的了解已成为旅游目的一部分，旅游文本成为了这个过程的重要媒介。然而，在旅游文本的翻译实践中，不可译现象仍然存在。许多翻译者尝试了不同的方法来解决不可译问题。本文简要介绍了旅游文本的语言特征，阐述了旅游文本翻译中的一些不可译因素，试图从语言功能视角探讨旅游文本的不可译性问题。
