Abstract: In this paper, Forrest Gump’s life is compared to a box of chocolates, and the three important chocolate-type characters in Forrest’s growth are further discussed. The paper emphasizes the stories between Forrest and his “chocolates”, which display the process of the formation of Forrest’s complete personality step by step. The paper aims at exploring the reasons for the forming of Forrest’s personality, and thus deepens the understanding of the main character.

摘要：本文将《阿甘正传》中的主人公比喻为一盒完整的巧克力，进而分析了在他的成长过程中举足轻重的三个巧克力式人物，并着重讨论阿甘与每个人物之间发生的故事，一步步铺垫出阿甘完整且积极向上的人格形成的过程。旨在更好地阐述阿甘完整人格的形成原因及过程，从而加深对主人公的了解。
