Abstract: The Kite Runner is the first novel of the famous Afghan-American writer Khaled Hosseini. It tells the story about an Afghan boy Amir who despicably betrays his half-brother and who realizes his sin and redeems himself. This paper aims to analyze the process of Amir’s self-redemption in The Kite Runner. By analyzing Amir’s betrayal and redemption, it concludes that if a person can bravely face his past, and try his best to help those people he has betrayed, he will finally achieve the redemption of his soul.

摘要：《追风筝的人》是美籍阿富汗裔作家卡勒德·胡赛尼的处女作品。故事讲述了一个阿富汗富家少爷阿米尔幼年时背叛自己同父异母的兄弟，最后走上自我救赎之路的故事，本文旨在研究卡勒德·胡赛尼《追风筝的人》中阿米尔自我心灵救赎的过程。从阿米尔的自我救赎我们可以得出这样一个结论：只有勇于正视自己的过错，并努力弥补的人，才能获得灵魂的救赎。
