Abstract:As the old saying goes "The Sea is vast for it holds hundreds of rivers". From the economy aspect, the flourishing culture of food and drink is based on the never-ending integration. This dissertation, taking the tea culture as background, discusses the development of western coffee culture (the new darling of the era) in the homeland of tea-----China with a typical example of Starbucks Legend. The tea culture with thousands of year’s history is influential in China. Chinese people are handing down tea ceremonies from generation to generation. Nevertheless, the western coffee culture has an unstoppable momentum in this vast country. The dissertation unfolds itself gradually with the "heat level" of tea development as a clue. The article discusses the "warm-up" stage of western coffee culture in China first, and then focuses on the integration and conflict of the two cultures, finally, it discuses the "heat up" stage. It’s proving that the integration momentum of the two cultures can not be stopped, in spite of all the differences between them.

摘要:常言道:海纳百川,有容乃大。从经济发展的角度看,饮食文化的兴盛源于不断的融合。本文是以茶文化为背景,并以“星巴克”(咖啡帝国里的传奇)为例,论述了西方咖啡——新时代的宠儿,在茶的故乡(中国)的发展历程。茶有着几千年的文化历史,长期地影响着人们的生活,并且世代地传承着“茶道”。然而,西方咖啡文化却在中国这块广袤的土地上有不可抵挡的发展势头。本文是以咖啡文化发展的“热程度”为线索,逐步展开。先介绍了西方咖啡文化在中国的起源和发展的“预热”阶段,接着,重点论述了这两种文化的融合与冲突,也就是所谓的“加热”和“反应”阶段,最后是“升温”阶段。论述了两种文化尽管有差异,但融合的势头不可挡。
