Abstract: With the development of the society, impolite expressions exist everywhere in daily communication, which makes it a necessity to pay attention to impoliteness. It is not until recent years that studies on politeness is favored by a variety of scholars in many fields, while impoliteness haven’t received sufficient attention ,let alone the usage of impolite expressions among college students. This paper, therefore, based on impoliteness strategy, attempts to have an analysis of sex differences of the usage of impoliteness among college students from six aspects: use frequency, use perception, feeling of being used, response to the usage, use occasion and word choice with a few questionnaires. The findings could not only broaden the scope of the impoliteness research and enrich the knowledge of impoliteness, but also help readers have a thorough understanding of the quality of college students so as to carry out specific education activities relatively and improve students’ quality level.
