Abstract:Culture is the product of society, and the different cultural and social backgrounds make the Chinese and western countries have great differences in thinking mode and values. However, films can show cultural phenomena and reflect cultural content, which is a special way of expression of culture. The movie Pushing Hands not only brings entertainment to the audience, but also shows the differences between Chinese and western cultures in life. It reflects both the emotional estrangement of a family and the collision and conflict between two different cultures. Based on text analysis, the paper thesis introduced the movie Pushing Hands of background, and then based on the cross-cultural perspective of Chinese and western cultural conflict and integration in the film is how to embody, and analyzed the causes of conflict and fusion. Finally, inspired by the conflict and integration of the Chinese and Western cultures in the film, the article finally puts forward some suggestions on the combination of Chinese and Western cultures, which can be better for the people to survive and develop in a multicultural environment.
The film reflects the conflict between Chinese and western culture in life style, attitude towards parents and physical taboos, which is caused by different cultural backgrounds and thinking modes of China and the west. However, the clash of values in cross-cultural communication is not irreconcilable. As the film concludes, these conflicts can be resolved as long as people from different cultural backgrounds can tolerate and communicate with each other.

摘要:文化是社会的产物，不同的文化和社会背景，使得中西方在思维方式、价值观念等方面存在巨大的差异。而电影可以展现文化现象，反映文化内容，是文化的一种特殊表现方式。电影《推手》不仅给观众带来了娱乐享受，也为观众展现了中西方文化在生活中的种种差异。它既反映了一个家庭的情感隔阂，又反映了两种不同文化之间的碰撞和冲突。本文立足于文本分析，首先介绍了电影《推手》的相关背景，然后基于跨文化视角解析中西文化的冲突与融合在影片中是如何体现的，并分析冲突与融合产生的原因。最后，受电影中的中西文化的冲突和融合的启示，文章最后对中西文化结合方面提出了几点建议，从而是处于多元文化环境下的人能够更好的生存和发展。
影片中反映出的中西方文化在生活方式、对待父母的态度、对身体禁忌等方面的冲突，是中西方不同文化背景和思维方式所导致的。然而，跨文化交际中的价值观冲突并非不可调和。正如电影结尾所说明的，只要来自不同文化背景的人们能够相互包容和沟通，这些冲突都有可能化解。
