自我身份认同理论下解读《幸运的吉姆》.doc

Abstract:Kingsley Amis (1922-1995) is a famous English novelist and critic,the greatest representative of “Angry Young Men”.With the development of Industrialization , people gradually begin to doubted capitalist.In that case, they confused about the self knowledge of human beings.And they come to the era of identity crisis,especially those young generation. Their sensitivity and longing for identity makes them often falls into the anxiety and losing .The author of this thesis based on the theory self-identity to analysis the novel Lucky Jim.

The thesis is divided into five parts:The first part is an introduction about Kingsley Amis and research at abroad and at home.The second part is the theories about this thesis.The third part mainly discuss the process how main character Jim seeking his self-identity in such conflict society.The fourth part analysis the influence of this thesis on society and individual.The last part is a conclusion of the research,the main character Jim relieved him from the old identity,gradually form new self-identity. 

Through the review of the literature on the study of Lucky Jim at home and abroad, this paper presents a detailed analysis of self-identity on the book.This study aims to make people easily to understand this theory and for a better comprehend the theme of this novel,guide people to be rational about life,inspire people to be positive toward the life,make people to get the feeling of satisfaction and self-worth in the process of seeking self-identity.

摘要:金斯利.艾米斯英国著名小说家和评论家,是“愤怒的一代”的代表之一。随着工业革命的飞速发展，人们普遍对资本主义理性产生置疑，在当时情境下人们对自我的认知感到迷惘，人类来到了身份危机时代，尤其是年轻一代。对于身份的敏感与探寻，他们时常陷入身份认同的焦虑之中。本论文立足于自我身份认同理论，对艾米斯的作品《幸运的吉姆》进行研究，即主人公吉姆寻求自我身份认同之路。

本论文共分为五大部分,第一部分主要对作者金斯利.艾米斯及小说进行介绍，并对国内外研究现状进行了整理。第二部分是关于自我身份认同理论起源，发展和它在文学作品中的意义研究。第三部分是小说的正文部分，主要分析了主人公吉姆如何在复杂的社会背景下从身份迷失到反抗最终成功的实现了自我身份的认同这一过程。第四部分是研究这部小说对当今社会的影响与实际意义。最后一部分是本论文的结论部分，主人公吉姆到最后逐渐摆脱旧身份实现了新身份转变，成功的完成了自我身份的认同。

本研究旨在通过对自我身份认同的研究使人们对这一理论和小说的主题有更好的理解，同时引导人们理智地对待生活，启发人们奋发向上，从而在寻求自我身份认同的道路上体验到自我价值。
