Abstract:English as a worldwide language plays a more and more important role in the world communication. With the increasing exchange of different countries in different fields, the study of foreign language, especially the ability of communication is more and more important.

   At present, most of the students are not so active in speaking, after years of study, the English they have acquired is still mute English. In the oral English class, such situation is common, a quiet classroom. Many students bow their heads, only a few students are willing to stand up and speak. Anxiety is considered as one of the important factors in acquiring a good command of English.

   This dissertation first introduces the current situation of oral English, then sums up the previous and current research in the affective domain. The author attempts to conduct the reasons of generating English anxiety, and to have a comprehensive understanding of anxiety in oral class. Finally, some suggestions are provided to create a less stressed learning environment to improve the students oral English.

摘要:当今世界说英语的人越来越多,英语作为国际交往的语言也发挥着越来越大的作用。随着国际上各个领域之间交往增加,外语学习,特别是语言交际能力的培养越来越受到人们的重视。

  但是,目前大学生英语口语能力欠缺,哑巴英语现象严重。我们经常可以看见这种状况,在英语口语课堂上,教室里一片安静,学生们都低着头,只有几个同学站起来发言,焦虑因素是这一现象存在的重要因素之一。

  本文首先介绍了英语口语的现状,而后阐述了国内外外语焦虑的研究历史和现状。结合传统口语课堂教学,试图探讨中国大学生外语课堂焦虑现象产生的原因,全面了解大学生在外语口语课堂上的焦虑感。最后提出相应的解决对策,以求控制焦虑感,创造一个焦虑水平适中的教学环境,提高学生口语表达能力。
