ABSTRACT:It is well-known that translation involves language as well as culture. As good translators, they should familiarize themselves with foreign culture as well as the culture of their own countries. As foreign language learners, the key for them to understand the text deeply is whether they can understand the foreign language well under the cultural context. As we know, there are quite a few vehicles that contain many cultural meanings in Chinese language and English language. So the correct translation that we have mentioned above is inevitably involved in translating vehicle under the cultural context. In this paper, the author cites many examples of vehicle translation and then sums up several skills about how to translate vehicle in different cultural contexts. It is also expected that this thesis can contribute to foreign language learners for learning the translation of vehicle.

中文摘要:众所周知,翻译涉及到语言与文化两个方面。因此，对于出色的翻译者来说,他们必须要像熟悉本国的文化一样熟悉外国的文化，而作为外语学习者,能够深入理解课文的关键就在于他们是否能够结合文化语境来理解语言。由于英汉语言中包含大量的富有文化寓意的喻体，因此上文所说的正确的翻译就不可避免的涉及到了在不同的文化语境下对喻体的翻译。在该论文中，作者列举了许多有关文化语境下喻体翻译的例子，并总结概括出几种喻体翻译的技巧与方法。同时，作者希望这篇文章能够对外语学习者在学习喻体的翻译时有所帮助。
